We are strengthening nuclear safety of Czech and Slovak NPPs in case of a crisis situation

Over the next three years, we will supply new voltage regulators for backup diesel generators in the highest safety category A to Czech and Slovak nuclear power plants.

Last year, we deployed our new AVR Safety regulator on the first four of eight diesel generators at the Temelín Nuclear Power Plant. At the end of May this year, we commissioned the first of six planned regulators at the Jaslovské Bohunice Nuclear Power Plant, and in September, we will install the first of twelve regulators at the Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant.

Diesel generators equipped with our AVR Safety regulators play a key role in the safety of nuclear power plants. They are essential for emergency power supply to selected reactor systems in situations where the main power source fails.

Thanks to the demanding qualification of our Czech digital control system SandRA, we have joined the ranks of the world’s most technologically advanced suppliers of control systems for nuclear energy.

The deployment of AVR Safety in all three nuclear power plants covers key regions of Central Europe and is crucial for ensuring nuclear safety in this strategic area.
