Control of small steam turbines
The compact control system for small steam turbines, CTCS, is an alternative to the more robust TCS/TPS systems based on the SandRA Z200 platform. It is designed to meet customer demands for a cost-effective and simple solution for regulating small turbines in thermal and hydro power plants.
The compact turbine controller can be installed in a wall-mounted cabinet. The main components of the cabinet are user-programmable units from the SandRA Z211 series, which serve the functions of turbine control and protection. A control panel can be mounted on the front door for system operation and parameter configuration.
The CTCS also includes a Vibration Monitoring System (VMS) and Overspeed Protection (OSP) provided by Profess, which, in combination with the ZAT control unit, ensure reliable operation of low-output steam turbines.
The compact CTCS system is suitable for both new installations and retrofits of existing systems.
