We also discussed with KHNP representatives on Korean Nuclear and High-tech Day 2022
At the end of June, the Korean Nuclear and High-tech Day 2022 took place in the congress hall of the Hilton hotel in Prague with the participation of representatives of our company. The event was organized by the KHNP concern, with which the ZAT company is negotiating cooperation in the tender for the completion of a new nuclear power source in the Czech Republic. As part of the conference, the organizers presented Korea's top technologies and culture there.
Chung Jae-Hoon, President and CEO of KHNP took the opening remarks, followed by Lee Chang-Yang, Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy of the Republic of Korea. Tomáš Ehler, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, and Vladimír Dlouhý, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of the Czech Republic spoke for the Czech side.
At the end of the introductory part, KHNP representatives presented their competence in the supply of the APR 1000 type reactor for the construction of the Dukovany II NPP and talked about the involvement of Czech companies in their supply model.
"The ZAT company is a verified supplier of control systems in the field of nuclear energy. Our systems already control almost 100 percent of the Dukovany nuclear power plant, they are also deployed at the Temelín NPP and both nuclear power plants in Slovakia. The SandRA control system is among the most modern in the world, which is why we believe that, as a Czech company, we will participate in the completion of a new nuclear power source, regardless of whether the supplier is any verified supplier," states František Kural, marketing and sales director and guarantor for the new nuclear power source company ZAT.
Our company's control systems and know-how can be found at 10 percent of nuclear power plants in the world and 30 percent in the European Union.
