ZAT to supply additional key systems for Armenia's Metsamor nuclear power plant

At the end of 2024, we signed a major contract to supply two key control systems for the primary circuit of Armenia's Metsamor nuclear power plant. The systems will be deployed in cooperation with Skoda JS as part of a planned outage in 2026.

These systems are ARM (reactor power controller) and ACGN (automation of main circulation pumps), which are essential for the safe and efficient operation of the nuclear power plant. The ARM system ensures precise control of the reactor power, while the ACGN system enables reliable operation of the main circulation pumps, which are crucial for reactor cooling.

In this way, ZAT control systems in the most important part of the plant, the nuclear reactor, make a significant contribution to extending the lifetime and improving the safety of the Armenian nuclear power plant.

The delivery of the systems is part of a comprehensive control solution for the Metsamor nuclear power plant, where ZAT technology makes up approximately 20 percent of the overall control system. We are implementing the project together with Škoda JS.

With the signing of the new contract, we are following up on the delivery in 2019, in which we delivered the RRCS - Rector Rod Control System - to the Armenian nuclear power plant in cooperation with Škoda JS.

The contract, whose value is in the tens of millions of crowns, confirms our position as one of the European leaders in the supply of control and management systems for the nuclear power industry.
