Review of the conference - New nuclear resources

As an important European supplier of control systems for the construction and reconstruction of nuclear sources, we participated in the 2nd annual conference - New Nuclear Resources, which took place on October 20 in Prague.

In the form of a discussion panel, the participants addressed the benefits of the construction of new nuclear sources in the Czech Republic from the point of view of the involvement of domestic companies, and further discussed the state of Czech industry and Czech technology and construction companies, including the impact on the future of the domestic energy industry.

The conference was divided into four thematic blocks. In the third, which related to the discussion of technology companies, colleague František Kural presented the competencies and readiness of ZAT to cooperate on the construction of new nuclear resource. "I outlined to the participants our current projects in the field of nuclear energy, including new research and development projects. Last year, for example, we completed the development of a new system for controlling and monitoring the position of reactor control mechanisms (RRCS-Reactor Rod Control System) for reactors of the VVER 1000/1200 type. A big advantage is that the system can also be applied to other types of control mechanisms of large and small reactors," adds František Kural.

Given the current state and the need to ensure energy self-sufficiency, the participating experts agreed on the need to build not one, but four new nuclear power resources at Dukovany NPP (EDU5, EDU6) and Temelín NPP (ETE3, ETE4).
